Design Systems is working with a major military ground vehicle manufacturer

to develop and implement a Lean Material Strategy for their shop floor. The plan examines the use of material handling equipment, manpower, line display, secondary storage and primary storage areas. Ultimately, the Lean Material Strategy developed will drive discipline into their entire supply chain from the vendor to the point of consumption. Additionally, Lean Material Strategy will be the cornerstone of the client’s plan to enhance their implementation of Total Configuration Management (TCM) and define the functional requirements for their Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Materials Module.
